Kansas real estate license and CE requirements

What the Kansas Real Estate Commission asks of licensees, with a link to the official source for every figure.

Last reviewed October 15, 2026. Next review due October 2027.

Kansas licensees renew on terms of up to two years with 12 hours of continuing education, including 3 hours of the Kansas Required Core. Hours only count if they are taken after the Kansas license is issued, and a course labeled core in another state does not satisfy the Kansas core.

The Kansas Real Estate Commission's site blocked our direct requests, so some of the core and cycle detail on this page comes from search results on the commission's own domain. A license on deactivated status needs no CE, and a late renewal is allowed for six months after expiration with a fee.

Rules change. The Kansas Real Estate Commission is the only authority on what you need to renew; where this page and the official source disagree, the official source is right. Blank figures say "Check with the Kansas Real Estate Commission" because we could not confirm them from an official source.

Optional professional development

Once your CE is done, these ACI designations go deeper on the same ground as parts of the Kansas requirements. They are voluntary, they are not CE, and you never need them to keep your license.
