Idaho real estate license and CE requirements
What the Idaho Real Estate Commission (Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses) asks of licensees, with a link to the official source for every figure.
Last reviewed October 15, 2026. Next review due October 2027.
Idaho does not express its renewal requirement as a single hour total. Instead, each two-year renewal calls for two Idaho Commission Core courses you have not taken before, plus 12 elective hours. Core courses are rewritten each year, effective July 1, and each runs no more than four classroom hours, so the total varies.
First-time active renewals for Idaho salespersons replace the electives with 12 hours of post-license education, including an 8-hour Post License Fundamentals course. We could read these rules only through search results from official Idaho sites, which blocked direct access, so please confirm every detail with the Idaho Real Estate Commission.

Rules change. The Idaho Real Estate Commission (Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses) is the only authority on what you need to renew; where this page and the official source disagree, the official source is right. Blank figures say "Check with the Idaho Real Estate Commission (Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses)" because we could not confirm them from an official source.
