Georgia renews licenses every four years and asks for 36 hours of continuing education across that span, including a 3-hour license law course for everyone. Since July 1, 2025, brokers must devote 18 of their 36 hours to broker-specific subjects: training and supervising licensees, reviewing brokerage agreements, or managing a firm.
New Georgia salespersons face a firm first-year deadline: a 25-hour post-license course, completed within the first year, or the license lapses. Long-time licensees with a license number below 100,000 are exempt from CE, under the Georgia Real Estate Commission's rules.

Rules change. The Georgia Real Estate Commission is the only authority on what you need to renew; where this page and the official source disagree, the official source is right. Blank figures say "Check with the Georgia Real Estate Commission" because we could not confirm them from an official source.
